Enough Money
What would enough make possible?
Money can support a life you want to live. Defining what you want it to do gives “more” somewhere useful to go.
More is a direction. Enough is a decision.
Start with the life, rather than the number. Think about the ordinary week you want money to support: where you live, who you spend time with, what you want to feel secure about, and what you want the freedom to choose.
Your enough may include stability, flexibility, generosity, or time for work you care about. These are different purposes. Naming them helps you distinguish a useful next step from a moving finish line.
A personal definition will include real responsibilities. Enough is allowed to be specific to your household, your stage of life, and what you need to feel supported. It is also allowed to change.
Try two columns: what more money would help me do, and what I am postponing that does not actually require more money. Both deserve attention.
A question to keep.
What do I want money to make possible, and what small piece of that life can I experience this week?
One small experiment.
Write three things you want money to support. For each, name one practical next step and one part you can begin enjoying now.
