Enough Stuff

What earns its place in your life?

There is room to love beautiful, useful things and be thoughtful about what you bring home.

The upgrade should improve your life, not just your things.

Some things make life easier, richer, or more enjoyable. A bicycle you ride, a chair you read in, a pan you love using. Enough starts with noticing the relationship between the thing and the life it supports.

Before the next purchase, imagine an ordinary day with it. What changes? What becomes easier? What becomes possible? What space, time, or care will it need?

This is an invitation to choose well. Your enough might include a collection that brings you joy, fewer things to maintain, or equipment that supports something you love doing.

Try giving one thing you already own a better place in your day. Use the good mug. Open the book. Take the bicycle out. Sometimes the next good experience is already at home.

A question to keep.

Which things help me live the way I want, and which are still waiting to become useful?

One small experiment.

Choose one thing you already own and use it for its intended pleasure this week.
